Major Adam Mahama finally laid to rest: Farewell Soldier, you died a Hero! (Photos)...

The late Major Maxwell Adam Mahama whose painful death shocked the entire nation was today, June 9th, 2017, laid to rest at the at the Osu Military Cemetery in Accra today after a memorial and burial service amidst military honours.

Many important dignitaries including Vice President Bawumia and his wife Samira, First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo, Former President John Agyekum Kuffour, Former President John Mahama among others were in attendance at the forecourt of the State House in Accra to read their respective tributes and pay their final respects to the fallen hero.

Major Mahama, who was promoted from Captain to Major posthumously by President Akufo-Addo, was lynched and partly burnt by some people of Denkyria-Obuasi in the Central Region, who suspected him to be an armed robber.

He died from the mob attack in the early hours of Monday, May 29, 2017.

So far forty-four people have been arrested in connection with his death.

Maxwell Mahama was with the 4th Battalion Unit at Burma Camp.
