Taxi Driver who stole Major Mahama’s iPhone 7 at Denkyira-Boase arrested...

The taxi driver who was reported to have stolen the iPhone 7 of the late Major Maxwell Adam Mahama after lynching him at Denkyira-Boase on May 29, 2017 has been arrested and remanded in police custody by an Accra District Court on Wednesday, 26 July, 2017.

According to the prosecutor, Detective Inspector Simeon Appiosornu who briefed the court, they picked intelligence that the suspect who has been identified as Kwodjo Fordjour was in possession of the said cellphone of the late army officer.

Detective Inspector Appiosornu pleaded with the court to adjourn the case so the police can do further investigations to consolidate Fordjour’s case with the 19 suspects remanded earlier in connection with the lynching of the army officer who was mistaken to be an armed robber.

The Magistrate, Worlanyo Kotoku adjourned the case to 3 August and remanded the suspect in police custody.
