Man climbs high tension pole to demand money from Nana Akufo-Addo before he descends (watch video)...

A Ghanaian man by name Amoako who is believed to be in his forties climbed a high tension electric pole at Kenyase Adwumamu in the Ashanti Region to demand an unspecified amount of money from President-Elect of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo or the residents before he would descend. (Watch the video below)

The man who is also known as ‘about-the-Kofa’ is reported to have employed the same 'strategy or antic' to ‘extort’ money from the residents about four years ago when President John Mahama had then been elected.

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) after having been notified of the unfortunate situation quickly cut-off power supply to the whole Kenyase community and its surrounding areas including Duase, Abirem and Mamponteng to avert any tragedy.

It had to take the intervention of the Ghana Police and the residents of the area to finally ‘convince’ Amoako to descend by offering him the said unspecified amount of money.

Amoako was quickly whisked away by the Police after descending from the high tension pole as the residents who had been angered by his actions wanted to beat him just to teach him a lesson.
