Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah, former Super Morning Show host of Accra-based Joy 99.7 FM, has finally picked his nomination forms to contest the primaries of the New Patriotic Party's Parliamentary seat in the Ofoase-Ayirebi Constituency of the Akuapim North District in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

This was confirmed on Accra-based Starr 103.5 FM by the Regional Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Alhaji Omar Bodinga,

According to the Vice Chairman, a group that calls itself "Friends of Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah" this past Friday picked the nomination forms on Kojo Oppong Nkrumah's behalf.

Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah who's admired by both the young and old, faces stiff competition from the incumbent Member of Parliament for the Ofoase-Ayirebi constituency, David Oppong-Kusi, a 57-year old Prinicipal Quantity Surveyor and another well known NPP member, John Obiri Yeboah, a freight forwarder, who's tipped to win the seat.

The dust has finally settled as people were in doubt as to whether the former Super Morning Show host and some other new faces were going to jump on the political bandwagon and contest on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party.

Bigtimerz.com wishes Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah the best of luck in his political career and we hope he's already prepared himself psychologically for the kind of "dirty" politics we do here in Ghana.
