Arrogant and Corrupt Kwesi Nyantakyi and his GFA must go now...

Bigtimerz.com reproduces an in-depth opinion shared by Listowel Bukarson, former Kotoko Public Relations Officer, about what he thinks the corrupt President of GFA, Kwesi Nyantakyi must do.

Just read on:

Elvis Afriyie Ankrah was the campaign Manager for the NDC party for the 2012 General elections, I think.

He told the whole world he would quit politics after he's helped the President of the republic, John Dramani Mahama and the NDC party win the 2016 general elections.

Chief amongst his core reasons to quit politics, was that Ghanaians have unfairly chastised, insulted and questioned his integrity over the absurd increase in the 2014 FIFA World Cup Budget for Ghana.

Eventually, he arrogated to himself powers and became the alpha and omega of planning everything including, ironically, our early exit from the 2014 World Cup!

As the self acclaimed Minister of "knowing everything" from archaeology to zoology of the prestigious mundial in Brazil, he seemed to have condoned and connived with the Kwesi Nyantakyi led power-drunk Ghana Football Association and his bunch of "water full of no fish" management committee of the Senior National team, the Black Stars, to milk the nation to shame and humiliation.

As a sports journalist, I have worked with former Sports Ministers from Hon. E.T Mensah, Hon. Yaw Osafo Marfo, Hon. Paapa Owusu Ankomah; to the late Hon. Kwadwo Baah Wiredu, Mallam Issah, Hon. Mohammed Muntaka, Hon. Rasheed Pelpuo, Akua Sena Dansua, etc., but I dare say none of the personalities mentioned here ever exhibited such level of greed and gross disrespect at the Sports Ministry.

To the extent that he hijacked everything about the World Cup epitomizes his level of greed and pomposity!

Setting up seven committees and appointing three travel and tour agencies to cater for the World Cup was just a camouflage to perpetuate his insatiable yearn for "thievery" at the monstrous Sports Ministry-the Ministry where you survive only by being in bed with the barbaric GFA mafia goons!

I dare say, as long as Ghana's World Cup history is concerned, the President Kufour government performed better than all other governments.

It was our first appearance and if there were going to be expected setbacks, it should have been Germany 2006. But did we experience the level of disgrace as experienced today at the 2006 World Cup? An empathic no!!!

President John Dramani Mahama has promptly reshuffled the Sports Ministry by replacing Elvis with Mahama Ayariga and sending Joseph Yaminne to the Ashanti Region as Deputy.

Elvis Afriyie is now a Minister of State at the Presidency. Clearly, some musical chairs at play here!

The President, I guess, must stop toying with the hearts of Ghanaians.

If Elvis messed things up as the most disgraceful Ghana's Sports Minister ever, does the President think he will be useful at the Presidency?!

I think the President must be bold enough to call the shots!!

Firing or interdicting him, I believe, would have soothed the hearts of the many troubled taxpayers of Ghana, pending the constitution of the Committee, its investigations, findings, recommendations, government's white paper and the implementation of the recommendations of the committee so that we can chronologically follow what is to happen next.

George Orwell's Animal Farm comes to my mind!

I hope that Ghana under President Mahama doesn't become the worse government in the political history of Ghana. Posterity will surely judge him.

The spirit of the Ghanaian youth; the pride of the North will never forgive him and his descendants.

I ask: how many Ministers have come and gone since Kwesi Nyantakyi became the president of the Ghana Football Association?! "Asem sebe".

It is time to confront the rot and smelly GFA head on. Oh, FIFA can yell for all we care. Ghana first! After all, there was Ghana before GFA.

Thinking unconventionally. Folks, Sports is Huge!
